Avoriaz is on the main lift circuit of the Portes du Soleil, with links to Châtel in one direction and to Champéry in Switzerland in the other. It is linked by gondola to Morzine, which shares a separate area of slopes with Les Gets. All four of these linked resorts are covered by the Portes du Soleil pass.

Convenience

Avoriaz is a compact resort which works well.  In the majority of accommodations you can ski from close to the door, and no door is more than 500m from the central shops and bars. Although the upper part of the village is set on a steep slope, escalators and elevators inside the buildings help you get around.

Scenery

The village is elevated giving amazing balcony views across Morzine. From the high points there are great views of the Dents Blanches and the Dents du Midi.
